Privacy

We need to be able to collect some data in order to let you log in on the website. Besides that, we do some additional tracking of onsite behaviour to improve experience and some media optimization tracking to do better advertizing on other pages where your viewing is paid by ads.

We care about your privacy

In this article, you can read all about how we'd like to track your visit and browsing behaviour in order to make your browsing experience more meaningful. Please bear in mind, that we market a free festival, so us doing that in a more clever way is really not that evil. We do respect your privacy, so please read this article to the end, to understand how and why we track - and how you're able to opt out of this (spoiler: we actively respect the "Do Not Track" setting).

General permissions we would like

In general we communicate directly with users and subscribers (, followers and likers) via our website, email and social media messages. By signing up a user, subscribing to our newsletter, following us on LinkedIn, Twitter or liking us on Facebook, we may contact you occasionally. You will always have the option to opt out from each of these channels via the respective medium or platform.

Tracking-based services we use

Google Analytics: We use this to track anonymized users and optimize content based on behaviour.

Intercom.io: We use this to track live visitor behaviour and offer support and dialogue in real-time

Delta Project: help IWDK promote the festival on other websites via banner ads and other media. Displays are associated with your browsing behaviour, but not associated with your identity.

Login and social profiles: In order to engage with the festival we offer you to signup as a user and further to associate your user with social profiles. Once logged in, your online identity is linked to our website and the appearance of Intercom.io

We do respect the "Do Not Track" setting

If you don't like us (and any other websites you are visiting) watching you, you can set your browser to "Do Not Track". This will send a message to every webpage you visit and tell it not to track you. It's still up to the website developers to respect your privacy, but we do. Read more about the setting here.

That's the overall stuff you need to know. Everything below informs you how we may track, if you have not set "Do Not Track". Please read on, to learn on the detailed and legal stuff...
