Key take-aways

  • Insights in AI, Big Data, Industry 4.0 - and so much more!
  • How to create social movements in a digital world
  • Digital entrepreneurship and start-up stories

The future is not a state, it’s an ever ongoing ride. And what a ride. No need to talk about the speed in which things change, we all know it and are constantly reminded.

To make the most of tomorrow we believe in listening, learning and collaborating. In other words, we believe in putting people first. Scandinavia - and Aarhus in particular - holds a strong position internationally doing exactly this. With the people – call them users or consumers – as the centre of our attention and work, we find the result is not only more democratic. It is simply better.

At the official opening at Aarhus City Hall, world class keynote speakers from inside and outside Denmark will unfold the theme in different ways and with different perspectives, with Lea Korsgaard by their side as moderator.

Join us when we kick off the best week of the year on Wednesday April 19 Aarhus City Hall - everyone’s welcome!

Mads Rydahl

Founder & Innovation Executive at Unsilo
Mads was part of the team behind the voice activated personal assistant Siri, based in Silicon Valley, before it was acquired by Apple. He moved back to Aarhus and in 2012 founded the artificial intelligence driven company Unsilo - a text intelligence tool based on machine learning processes. The company recently got a $2.1 million investment from the Indian consultancy giant, Infosys. Furthermore, Mads is a member of Siri Kommissionen - a Danish initiative mapping how Denmark can turn the digital revolution into a growth and job creator.

Ida Tin

Co-founder of Clue
Born in Copenhagen, Ida graduated from Denmark's creative business school, the KaosPilots. A lifelong entrepreneur, she previously led motorcycle tours around the world and published a book about her experience, “Direktøs” which became a Danish bestseller. Ida Tin co-founded the tech-company and app Clue with her husband Hans Raffauf in Berlin back in 2009. Since then it has been a steep growing curve for the company, which now has more than 30 employees, over 5 million global users and raised an impressive $20m in funding November 2016. In 2015, Ida was well-deservingly given Europioneers Female Web Entrepreneur Award.

Matt Jones

Design Director at Google Research
With several decades as expert and opinion leader in the digital landscape, Matt Jones has influenced many of us both as Nokia’s Director of User-Experience and as the Co-founder of BERG London, an innovative design consultancy and one of the stars of the British technology scene. He writes and speaks all over the world on how technology evolves and affects all of us, and as Design Director at Google Research he is now well positioned to give us all a glimpse of what’s next.

Lea Korsgaard

Co-founder and chef editor at Zetland
Lea is co-founder and chef editor at Zetland. Zetland has rethought the news media, and created a digital media which has gained ground. Zetland tabs into the digital age, and uses the technology to present news and main trends. Lea Korsgaard is a reward winning journalist and acclaimed author. Besides that, she is known to be a driven speaker and facilitator. We are so happy to present Lea as moderator for the official opening of Internet Week Denmark. She will take us through the opening program with the main theme in play, “people first in the digital age”, facilitate Q&A’s, and create an energetic atmosphere where the audience is invited to join the conversation.

Zack Exley

Political-technology consultant
Zack Exley has been a leader in online fundraising and engagement for nearly 20 years. Most recently, Zack served as a full time senior adviser on the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign and was an architect of the campaign's national, volunteer-driven grassroots campaign. After running some of the first experiments in crowdfunding and online organizing in the 1990’s, Zack became MoveOn.org's first Organizing Director where he was part of the small team that pioneered many of the online fundraising and organizing practices and technologies that have become ubiquitous today. As an early advisor to the Dean campaign, he helped transfer MoveOn's early fundraising and organizing discoveries into presidential politics, then served as Kerry's Director of Online Fundraising and Communications in the general election where he raised more than $100 million online for the nominee. With the fundraising firm OMP, Zack worked as a consultant to major global NGOs, companies, and campaigns. With ThoughtWorks, a global IT consultancy, Zack led field organizing software projects for Obama's 2008 General Election campaign and for social movements around the world. Before re-joining politics with the Bernie campaign, Zack served as Wikipedia's Chief Community Officer and Chief Revenue Officer during the Wikimedia Foundation's growth from 20 to 200 employees

Jacob Bundsgaard

Mayor of Aarhus
Jacob Bundsgaard is a Danish politician and is the current Mayor of Aarhus Municipality. He is a member of the Danish Social Democrats.
